Customer Data Services - This team owns customer data for all BBY systems.



Project Description:

[Solution Architect working on a number of projects within the Customer
Data Services. Need has grown on team, resource is needed immediately.

Position Overview:



Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:



*         Documenting detailed designs of services/components/architecture.



*         Able to attend meetings to provide SME support and general

solutioning.



*         Able to generate estimates for new scope.



*         Able to mentor/train more junior architects.



*         Work with the product owner to define new stories for the team

from a design/architecture perspective.



*         Work with the technical architects and performance engineers in

troubleshooting performance issues and identifying fixes.



*         Working closely with the scrum teams as they implement solutions

to ensure that they are following the design and architecture.



*         Working closely with the enterprise capability architect to plan

out the future of the CDS implementation (roadmap).



*         Oversee others designs



*         Influence other areas of the team that are not directly controlled

by this point



*         Ability to communicate effectively - MUST



What would a normal day for this position look like??



  *   50% design documentation, researching old code and enhancing (heads

down work)

  *   20% working with other architects, reviewing designs, etc

  *   30% Communicating vision with other Architects from other teams on

designs and needs of the team



Skills Overview:

What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?



1*.      Java Spring/Switchyard background. - 7+ Years*



*2.      8+ years of experience building enterprise Java solutions.*



*3.      Experience leading a team of developers - 2+ years minimum*



4*.      4+ years of architecture experience.*



5.      Able to understand the big picture architecture and implementation

of the Customer Data Services solution.



6.      Experience in designing/architecting scalable web service and

integration solutions.



7.      Detail oriented approach to designing services/components.



8.      Looking for not only providing direction on architecture/designs,

but must be able deliver detailed designs and architecture documentation.



9.      Heavy client interaction on mixed vendor team.



10.  Experience dealing with High Volume Applications
