IP Project Architect Description:
The Project Architect will specialize in network architecture and IP addressing 
design and implementation based on a general networking background.
Position will help create/update the v4 IP address strategy for client.
10+ years of experience - need someone who specifically has experience in a 
Network Architect role.
This role is highly collaborative requiring the Project Architect to work with 
multiple teams and partner vendors.

* Advanced knowledge and skills to design, strategize and plan (implement) 
using IP v4 and IP v6 protocols and key network standards (e.g. RFP 1918, 
others)
* Advanced knowledge and skills to design, strategize, and plan (implement) 
within data center networks and LANs (e.g. route summarization, Layer 2/Layer 
3 routing and switching, network segmentation, private vs. public IP addressing 
schemes, etc.)
* Advanced knowledge and skills to use network tools (NetBrain and Infoblox 
preferred) for discovery and analysis
* Advanced knowledge and skills to effectively drive, communicate, collaborate 
with, and give technical presentation to architects, engineers, and project 
managers; to create high-quality deliverables (e.g. designs, diagrams, 
mappings, 
etc.)

Responsibilities:
* Develops high level design for solutions.
* Develops artifacts to be used be used in downstream SDLC phases.
* Leads technical resources during the Detailed Design and Development phase
* Leading the team from design to solution deployment.
* Coordinates technical aspects of deployment, including hardware environments, 
certification, and software deployment.* Architect and design v4 IP address 
strategy and solution for the Xcel Energy Enterprise
* Produce detailed and well-formed documents, drawings, and presentations 
around 
IP addressing
* Build and maintain relationships with various leaders and team members across 
IT organization and other business areas
* Lead, perform, and assist collaboration of IP addressing activities with 
roles across IT teams (onshore/offshore), business area IT teams, Enterprise 
Architecture, etc.
* Design with future IP v6 in mind Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Advanced knowledge of the latest networking technology areas (e.g. network 
security zones, DNS design and IP design, etc.)
* Advanced knowledge of both IP v4 and IP v6
* Advanced knowledge of data center networking infrastructure (e.g. route 
summerization, 
Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing and switching, network segmentation, private and 
public IP addressing schemes, etc.)
* Advanced knowledge of various IT infrastructure discovery, architecture, 
and analysis tools
* Advanced knowledge of products and platforms including but not limited to 
NetBrain and Infoblox, to help identify used and unused IP address ranges
* Advanced knowledge of IP addressing, IT infrastructure, network, and data 
center standards (e.g. RFP 1918, etc.)
* Experience with breaking up private v4 IP address ranges into manageable, 
summerizable and meaningful ranges with future growth in mind.
* Ability to work with teams to understand IP addressing implementation
* Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, project and program 
managers, 
business IT analysts, and other architects
* Ability to create well-formed documents, diagrams, and presentations
* Ability to drive solutions, discussions, ideas, and troubleshooting with 
limited leadership
