The team is made up of teams responsible for 1) the business performance management of returns, open box and after sales expense 2) the inventory management and movement of product when it comes back to Best Buy (reverse logistics) and 3) the resale of product in both our core (stores/bestbuy.com) and secondary (Brightstar, Cowboom, Techliquidators) channels. In addition the team is kicking off a large, multi-year, cross-company IT initiative that will look to overhaul systems and processes needed to drive the business outcomes associated with the reduction of RRD expense from $400M to $100M over the course of the next 3 years.] Position Overview: Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for: * Manages day-to-day activity of program/project team * Ensures delivery of program(s) and/or project(s) on time, to budget and to quality * Ensures communication and alignment between all teams * Ensures programs and projects are meeting timelines and deliverables * Resolves issues, roadblocks and changes, and escalates to the Product Capability Manager (PCM), when appropriate * Responsible for budget forecasts/projections * Financial reporting to budget * Point of escalation for all teams * Drives successful integrations with internal and external teams, including vendors * Develops program roadmap with PCM * Experience with offshore and nearshore development teams * Ensures team is following all processes, procedures, and templates used in department or organization * Identify and improve any processes or procedures that are outdated or obsolete Create a culture of continuous improvement, change and world class delivery What would a normal day for this position look like?? - Varies day to day - Manage full portfolio - Multiple escalations - Production or delivery team issues - One stop for any product issues/questions Skills Overview: What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate? 1. 5-7 or years experience leading large scoping initiatives 2. Extensive experience managing business team and expectations around requirements and driving to value 3. 5-7 or more years of IT systems experience in application delivery and management. 4. 2 or more years of program management experience 5. 5-7 or more years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports and people management responsibilities 6. 1 or more years of experience managing and being accountable for budgets over $1M 7. Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, as needed 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 9. Product Management experience 10. Technical skills (preferably developer experience) 11. Application Development skills 12. Large Enterprise Experience 13. Prior IT experience implementing large scale IT development programs or other large program implementation in a dotcom environment 14. 5 or more years of experience gathering business needs and creating into workable outcomes 15. 5 or more years of experience in business process and/or technology implementation 16. 3 or more years of experience managing third party vendor relationships and offshore development teams to achieve business outcomes 17. 5 or more years of experience at a manager level or above delivering global IT capabilities for a multi-national company with annual budgetary responsibilities 18. 5 or more years of experience at a manager level in a multi-channel brand business environment 19. Multiple years of experience of delivering new business capabilities by applying system and delivery lifecycle methods and approaches 20. Prior experience in working with organizational change management/leadership and process change management. 21. Prior development experience What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role? 1. Some sort of product tracking tool experience- Ex. Version 1 or Rally 2. Microsoft SQL What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role? 1.
