*Please send the profile to [email protected] <[email protected]> * *Job Title: Senior Program Manager * *Location: San Jose, CA * *Duration: 6-12 Months* Description of position: This role is a Senior Program Manager position to plan, manage & coordinate the project realization activities required to produce a Product/Application Release. The Program Manager is responsible for leading the defined release processes and, where applicable, defining new approaches to enhance to productivity of the realization activities. Qualifications: The Senior Program Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, managing and closing an overall project plan for engineering delivery, including the following: • Managing the Release for all phases of development from Concept to Release • Developing the project plan; including project schedules, resource requirements, risk management planning, internal and external dependencies, etc • Tracking defect reports to closure • Leading and facilitating project meetings, team coordination, issue resolution, action item tracking and managing release content. • Successfully completing Development Readiness Assessments and Product Realization Process compliance • Post release, responsible for leading the Manage for Success team for up to 1 year • Anticipating, minimizing and mitigating risks for the release • Interfacing with other organizations and coordinating schedules/interdependencies • Prioritizing issues and problem resolution • Identifying quality and productivity improvement actions • Reviewing project plans, feature plans and other documentation as required • Escalating critical issues as necessary Technical background should include: •Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with business associates, vendors and Integration Team members. •Excellent personal computer skills and proficiency using MicroSoft Office applications, internet and e-mail services. •Fundamental knowledge of network architecture, servers, redundancy and clustering. •Fundamental knowledge of database management: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server •Fundamental knowledge of networking and communications protocols: TCP/IP, SNA, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, messaging services. •Fundamental knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) such as CLAREDII and PGP. •Fundamental knowledge and programming skills in JAVA, XML •Proven, in-depth knowledge to design and implement complex integration solutions A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required. Ten plus years in related project management or engineering management is required for this role. Master of Business Administration, advanced technical degree or equivalent work experience is desired. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in technical project management. He or she must be able to complete detailed work, organize efficiently and team effectively. He or she must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a track record of producing results in a team environment.
