Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator/DBA

Location: Phoenix, Arizona (*Local candidates only)*

Duration: 1 year on going

Employment Type: Corp-Corp

Direct Client requirements



A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems,
business administration, mathematics or related field (and additional four
(4) years of experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).

Two (2) years of experience serving in the capacity as an Oracle database
administrator (DBA)

Two (2) years of Oracle database development experience (i.e., versions 11g
(required – 12c desirable)

Experience in installing, configuring, administering, tuning and
troubleshooting Oracle database products and features for various
application suites in Solaris and Unix/Linux environments.

Experience analyzing data requirements, defining DB architecture,
documenting technical design, testing databases and proposing solutions
that meet the enterprise framework, standards and industry best practices..

Transitioning data between development/test/QA/production environments,
recovering database files and performing database reorganizations as
necessary.

Strong understanding of database structures, normalization, principles and
practices

Ability and availability to provide on-call support (night and weekends) if
needed.



*OTHER SKILLS DESIRED*

Experience with RMAN for database backup, recovery and cloning

Experience with Real Application Cluster (RAC)

Experience with Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

PeopleSoft database administration and Microsoft SQL experience a plus

ITIL v3 Foundation
