Hello, Hope you are doing well Please go through the following requirement and please let me know on [email protected] if you have any available resources.
Role: Project Manager Location: NY Duration: Around 8 Months Interview : Face to Face SCOPE OF SERVICES: The NYC Department of Buildings requires Project Management, Business Analysis and similar services to support implementation of the Small Business First plan. The selected consultant will be required to perform hands-on services such as: individual project management, business analysis (qualitative and quantitative), identifying opportunities, risks, issues for project work, making recommendations for projects (e.g. for overcoming project challenges), working both independently and on project teams, serving as point of contact for projects and related items, giving formal and informal presentations to all levels of staff in multiple areas (business units, IT, executives, etc.), preparing numerous types of documents at a high level of quality and professionalism on tight time frames, pro-active communication, etc. (see desirable skills/experience for further details). Overview of this project: The overall goal of this project is to transfer the plan review and approval of two processes to FDNY, as outlined below. Note that legislation has already been drafted for this transfer, so the consultant would be required to take that text and the operational outlines that have already been developed by the agencies to create an implementation plan that would include training and outreach to fire suppression contractors and other industry members. In addition, there is an IT component for both DOB and FDNY. Fire Suppression: Currently, both the FDNY and DOB review and approve the plans for fire suppression systems. Two separate plan review processes creates the potential for unnecessary conflict that can result in added costs, paperwork, time, and effort for small businesses. In addition, going forward, businesses should no longer go to DOB to file and receive a permit for these systems. Rangehood: In order for a food business to open in NYC, it must obtain approval for the installation of its kitchen rangehood fire suppression system from both FDNY and DOB. DOB requires the plans to be submitted by a licensed architect or engineer. Transferring this approval process to FDNY would allow the plans to be submitted by a licensed master fire suppression contractor, and eliminate the double review process.
