This person will be responsible for implementing and supporting R&D client/servers, to include a variety of OS systems, applications and hardware. R&D activities within our team will create solutions that address St. Jude Medical’s unique needs for scalability, parallelism, performance, and reliability. *Job Duties:* - Gather technical requirements, develop, document and test standard configurations - Install client software and provide level 3 support experience, configure and upgrades software on various platforms. - Implement and support other R&D client/server based productivity tools such as requirements management systems, laboratory information management systems, equipment asset management systems, etc. - Gathering simulation and computational analysis requirements and the ability to translate into recommendations - Work closely with vendors during any new RFP process and analysis - Contribute to complex and innovative business solutions to achieve strategic objectives and makes specific recommendations for solutions that meet business objectives. - Provide recommendations for the implementation of highly available, tightly integrated, secure, flexible, and fault-tolerant systems. - Work with the business client and team to ensure applications meet operational requirements and meet SLA goals. - Works with management to ensure that all appropriate budget and cost containment policies are adhered to. - Establish trust and credibility at all levels of the organization. - Research and forecast new technology capabilities and their applicability within the greater organization. - Maintain a good working relationship with software vendors *Technical Qualifications:* - Prior experience implementing and supporting client/server based environments (required) - Prior administration for client/server applications (required) - Proven process knowledge and the ability to communicate with R&D business groups, vendors and managers (required) - Experience with client simulation tools and High Performance Compute Environments (required) - High performance computer environment analysis, design and implementation experience (required) - Batch file scripting and visual basic code understanding is a (required) - Knowledge of a broad range of R&D Simulation and Analytics applications such as Abacus, Ansys, LabVIEW, MathCAD, MATLAB, SEMCAD, etc. (required) - License server administration experience (required) - Familiarity with data storage solutions (Preferred) * General Requirements:* - Team player and self-starter - Maintain responsiveness and customer focus - Create and maintain documentation - Is highly organized, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing daily work - Exhibit the ability to work effectively across all of SJM and to build positive working relationships - Proven ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analysis - Demonstrate broad technical awareness and understanding of the IT services - Ability to bridge technical concepts to business or non-technical resources *Varun Tomar * Sr. Business Development Manager *Source Infotech, Inc.* *3840 Park Avenue, Suite C-205, * *Edison, New Jersey 08820* * Work:* *646-216-9462* "*Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)"* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
