*Role: Guidewire Tester*
*Location: Neenah, WI*
*Duration: 6 Months*
What is being tested
Guidewire
- Forms
- Reports - financials pulling from Guidewire
eCommerce - UI for customers - Integrated with Guidewire
Mobile Testing
*Responsibilities:*
· Prepares/develops manual written test cases
- Current Need: Post Production – Works on defects found in
production.
- Future Need: Project upgrades or enhancements - upcoming Billing Center
Upgrade.
• Initiates data collection and testing – for existing accounts or new
accounts.
• May verify back-end process during Systems testing
• Testing Reports - needs to know ETL process for reports and test
defects
• Enters defects and retests after fixes are complete, and if failure,
document defects
• Performs testing (functional, regression, UAT) - sends to developer
and story is complete
• May execute the automated scripts – currently doing mainly manual
testing, however group is hoping to better utilize automated testing in QTP
in the future
*Requirements:*
· Guidewire experience, hands-on experience, including:
- Policy Center
- Billing Center
- Claims Center
- Commercial Policies
- Business Owners (BOP) (inside personal lines) preferred
- Reports
· Proficient in the creation, implementation, and execution of
manual test scripts and test cases
· Insurance experience required - 5+ years (Property & Casualty
strongly preferred)
· Knowledge of insurance terminology and processes required
· Strong financial background / reports; knowledge of data flows
in/out of warehouse
· eCommerce & mobile testing
· A strong background in Testing – 8+ years preferred
· Test Design Techniques – 5+ years
- Boundary Value Analysis
- Positive/Negative
- Orthogonal Arrays
· Agile/Scrum methodology - 3+ years - Post production support is
in Agile - Scrum master schedules the defects with testers
· Quality Center (QC) – 3+ years – creating reports – not only
exporting information to Excel
· QTP (HP's quick test Pro) – 1+ years – Executing Scripts required
- Ability to create and maintain scripts is a plus
· Rally experience nice to have
· SQL experience nice to have - creating and running queries to
validate data on backend
· Solid communication skills – talks fluently with the team as well
as our Business “Customers”
