Role Description – The Onshore Platform Lead will work at the direction of the customer Platform team performing the following tasks: • Support the design and build of ETL frameworks and components that can be leveraged by other customer development teams • Apply standards for new ETL development as it relates to Teradata Load Utility (TPT, BTEQ, SQL) • Support ETL design required business applications • Provide advice and guidance on Informatica/Teradata Best Practices • Participate in ETL Design Reviews and Development Reviews • Own knowledge transfer of the implemented ETL design • Coordinate and monitor Offshore Consultant development tasks (approx 25%) Skills: 1. Self-starter, someone that can take specification direction and get on with the job of filling in the blanks, communicating it back for confirmation and then building out the solution to specification 2. Should have very good and strong SQL knowledge 3. Should have good shell scripting knowledge 4. Should have experience on BTEQ or stored procedures, ideally both. 5. Should have good TPT knowledge 6. Experience coordinating with Offshore teams, or comfortable doing it and working the non-standard hours when needed.
