We have the below Position, Please contact me/send your updated resume if you are interested. *Title : Network Engineer Consultant* *Location: Dallas, Jersey city & New York City* *Duration: 6+ Months Contract* Respond back with resumes to [email protected] *Job Description:* Work in the role of Network Engineer, translating business requirements into technical network (LAN/WAN) designs and overseeing implementation, primarily in networking areas and secondarily in Unix systems areas. Work primarily coordinating and facilitating cross-functional and cross-organizational network efforts. *Principal Responsibilities:* Manage multiple network projects, communicating status cross-organizationally and facilitating completion within project timelines and budgets. Contribute to and/or lead defined technical network and network-related tasks in the OPDS planning & project plans, including analysis, design, specification, configuration, and oversee deployment. Participate in systems and application project reviews and provide technical evaluations and recommendations relating to overall network design. Analyze needs and requirements and recommend network systems to support them. Participate in network change review process to ensure minimum impact to services. Conduct pilot and other tests, coordinating with technical and business staff to ensure conformance with objectives and functional and technical specifications. Coordinate and provide support with NOC and Operations to maintain production systems, restore downed systems and services, and maximize systems and service availability. Consult and collaborate with other network and systems engineers on technical issues as needed. Participate and/or lead the network oversight meetings on a regular basis. Document policies and procedures Availability for after hours and weekend support/on-call Travel to NYC region datacenters as/if needed *Experience:* 8 years Cisco network design, implementation and integration experience required. Solid working knowledge of Checkpoint and Nokia security hardware and software, managed by Provider-1. Tufin experience a plus. *CCSA, CCSE* certification or equivalent experience required In depth understanding of Telecommunication and TCP/IP theory, Cabling, *LAN/WAN design/configuration, DNS, and other network systems*. Ability to use network analysis systems and tools. Eight or more years of experience in the following areas: *TCP/IP, T1, T3, frame-relay, ATM, ISDN, DNS, DHCP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP and BGP*. Configuration experience with Cisco 7XXX Series routers, 6XXX switches, ASA and Pix Firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls as well as other vendor network equipment. Experience with F5 Big IP is a plus. Experience with Radware Load Balancer or similar is a strong plus. Demonstrated basic familiarity with Unix, VMWare and client-server systems architectures. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented, business driven environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently, with a high level initiative. Strong communication and presentation skills. Support role. Financial Services or related industry preferred. Familiarity with Oracle Virtual Networking (Xsigo) is a plus.
