Position: Sybase IQ 15 dba Location: Tampa, FL Duration:12 month+ Here’s the job description for the Sybase IQ Consultant: Reviewing queries, IQ query plans and then tune stored procedures, canned- as well as ad-hoc queries. Review Index Advisor output and then recommend and set up "create Index statements" to match new ad-hoc and prepared queries and stored procedures. Document existing IQ environment and recommend changes to be made for a new IQ Multiplexd environment along with logical and physical design recommendations for same. Troubleshooting IQ performance problems on an IBM P-series/AIX 5.3.0/64bit platform and making recommendations for both Unix level tuning changes as well as IQ changes Setup, install IQ and configure database & O/S for high throughput. Experience in integrating with Business Objects a plus. IQ loader performance tuning and troubleshooting skills. Extensive experience in IQ 12.7 running on AIX .
