*Title: IT PROJECT MANAGER* *Location: Des Moines, Iowa* *Client : Associated Grocer* *MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREENCARD HOLDER. RETAIL EXPERIENCE IS MUST.* - College Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience in the IT field. 7 - 10 years of IT experience working with installation of networks, security, POS systems or other related infrastructure. The candidate should have working experience with installation of systems and/or other infrastructure related technologies. - Management experience. Candidate should have experience working with decision-makers in the company as well as other workers in the organization. Candidate needs to have the communication skills to explain technical issues in business terms to officers and other employees. Candidate should be able to work with the pricing, accounting and retail operations areas. Candidate should have experience developing and managing an IT departmental budget, and should be able to think through the business, financial and technical aspects of technology-related decisions. - Vendor relationship experience. Candidate should have experience working with IT vendors, negotiating and managing service contracts and support agreements. - Retail experience. Candidate should have IT experience working with POS systems, Pricing Systems, and other related uses of item-level (SKU) information. Experience with installing and supporting POS or Pricing systems. Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) knowledge is a plus. The candidate should be familiar with Loyalty, Gift and other Credit Card processing. Use of social media to enhance the retail experience would be beneficial. - Network / Security experience. Candidate should have IT experience working with Networks, Firewalls, PCI / HIPAA compliance procedures, and other Security disciplines. Experience with Network vendors, implementation and training on PCI compliance and a good understanding of Security issues in the retail environment is a plus. Experience with WiFi is also a plus. - IT Procurement. Candidate should have experience working with vendors to purchase and install equipment. Candidate should know how to develop and monitor cost-effective hardware/software maintenance plans. The candidate should be familiar with desktop maintenance and support. - Software purchasing and installation. Candidate should have experience installing software and the licensing agreements when purchasing software. - Administrative system experience.
