*QA Analyst (HP ALM/QC)
Location: Houston, TX*
*Duration: 6 Months+***
*Need Local who can attend for face to face round.**
Job Description:*
As a project team member, this role will oversee all aspects of Testing
including managing testing workload, work with business clients and IT
support team members to facilitate test case planning, and then actually
development, execute, and track testing activities. This role includes a
high degree of communication and facilitation of testing activities with
the business clients, functional developers and other project team
members. Create test scripts from test procedures. Manage defects.
Update and execute regression testing scenarios for primarily custom web
applications and SAP.
First assignment will be to be primary tester for SalesForce.com or CRM
application enhancements. The development and testing methodology will
follow the agile approach and will require frequent communication with
Functional developers, business analysts, and business clients.
*Required Skills and Experience*
• Must have knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Responsible for identifying high quality defects that have clear
impact to customer business and coordinating defect management using an
automated testing tool.
• Experience with the HP ALM/Quality Center and UFT / Quick Test
Professional testing toolsets: maintaining and executing automated
tests, and managing test defects.
• Proficient in scripting tests for custom web and/or SAP applications
for end to end test scenarios.
• Must have experience setting up and configuring test environment
• Provide training to users on QC and QA processes
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and interact with business users to
answer all queries
• Experience with formal testing methodologies and systems development
lifecycle process
• Experience in developing test plans, test cases and test procedures
for SAP functionality
• Experience with logging, reporting and managing defects from detection
through to resolution for software/application testing
• Experience interfacing with resources across the business and IT;
client relationship leads, developers, IT technical support, and
business clients
• Experience with coordinating testing activities across multiple projects
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
Additional Experience in the Following Areas a Plus
• Business analyst experience in developing business requirements a plus
• Programming experience a plus
• Experience with test script automation a plus
• HP Quality Center/ ALM administration experiences a plus
Qualifications:
• Computer Science or Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in
software development and/or software test/quality assurance required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a software test analyst, working
with IT functional support teams and the business
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience testing and coordinating defect
management using an automated testing tool
• A strong interpersonal skillset, including good technical communications**
