*Position: Performance Engineer Location: Newark, DE* Currently a client of ours is looking for a Performance Engineer that has deep knowledge of multiple complex applications and provides subject matter expertise to set direction and create test strategies and test plans for one or more releases of an application. As a Performance Engineer, you will execute end to end non-functional tests and analysis. Develop test scripts based upon business requirements and processes, in line with defined workflows and use cases; process transactions from system entry to exit; test application performance delivered across applications and workflows; and test applications to demonstrate that relevant non-functional requirements are met. This person will participate in cross-functional discussions to review the impact of application changes from both internal and external interfaces on the quality of their applications; Work with application development teams to participate in solution design to ensure testability of functions and applications; Identify areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts Responsibilities: - Develop testing processes and approaches according to Six Sigma/CMM standards. - Assist in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy. - Determine the acceptable range for test results and performance. - Design, develop and implement test plans, scripts, and tools. - Work with business and technology leads to identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases. - Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions. - Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design. - Coordinate performance and documentation testing with the appropriate technical groups and Release Management. *Desired Skills:* - 7+ years of proven, strong experience with performance testing, HP Load Runner testing tools, writing test plans, and reviewing test cases - Experience in gathering non-functional testing requirements - Experience in analyzing application under testing to identify stress, failure and contention points, and specifying monitoring needs for testing - Experience in determining what needs to be tested and why, and creating test strategy and plan to implement - Experience in analyzing and understanding non-functional test results, and identify problem areas Capable of executing adaptive tests based upon intermediate findings to help trouble shoot and isolate non-functionality issues - Expertise in creating detailed test cases/scripts for technical and/or business client - Experience in creating performance testing and technical documentation - Knowledge of testing methodology, automated test/load tools (i.e. HP LoadRunner). - Advanced experience in writing LoadRunner scripts (not just recording), know inside out at least HTTP web protocol - Capable of performance testing from end to end independently, including non-functional requirement gathering, test planning, scripting, execution, analysis and reporting *Thanks & Regards, S Narayanan Source InfoTech Inc. 3840, Park Avenue, Suite C-205, Edison, NJ-08820 (MBE CERTIFIED) Phone: 609-945-1171 || Fax: 732-909-2282 || Email: **[email protected]* <[email protected]>* | GTalk:-snarayanan2sourceinfotech* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail cannot be considered Spam as long as we include contact information and a remove link for removal from our mailing list.
