Review Functional /Technical Spec/PDMs 2. Create Test Plans 3. Create Test Scenarios/Test cases 4. Create Test Scripts (Requires strong background in SQL scripting) 5. Create/Manage Test bed/Test Data (Requires running/monitoring ETL jobs in Data Stage) *Test Execution Phase* 1. Execute TWS job streams to load data (Requires running/monitoring ETL jobs in Data Stage) 2. Execute Test Scripts for Data Validation (Expected vs. Actual Comparison) 3. In case of mismatch, perform Data Analysis to find possible cause of issue. (Requires strong background in SQL scripting) 4. Log Defects in ALM 5. After defect fix retest the defect/ regression test if required 6. Create Test Closure Summary *Test Coordination* 1. Work with project team for clarifications on Functional/Technical specs/PDM 2. Communicating daily status to offshore, giving work direction to offshore team by End of onshore day 3. Getting daily status from offshore in the morning 4. Communicating status, issues, risks to PM in scrum calls *Technical Skillset required for UDW QA* 1. Ability to work in UNIX environment 2. Ability to write/understand/debug complex SQL scripts for data validation & data analysis 3. Ability to work in fast paced environment 4.
