Role: Network Engineer Location: NYC, NY Duration: About 13 months Need only GC/US citizen SCOPE OF SERVICES NYPD requires the services of an experienced and technically qualified Network Security Analyst to help support the NYPD’s Network Operations Center in the management and analysis of Network Security alerts. The resource will also provide technical expertise, consultation and leadership to the architectural design, development, deployment, support, performance, tuning, problem analysis, identification and determination through resolution of Security Incident Analysis and Management. We require the resource to produce or collaborate on the following deliverables: • Security Alert generation and management • Monitor multiple security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, syslog, file integrity, vulnerability scanners • Correlate and analyze events using Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool to detect IT security incidents • Follow operational process and procedures to appropriately analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of critical information security incidents. • Test new Systems compatibility to enable application optimizations • System Monitoring and Analysis • Validation of technical requirements • Work with management in developing future requirements in gathering processes needed to advance reporting and correlations of IT security events. • Research and validate technologies required to meet the business needs, provide the technical solution based on it. • Coding and designing low level design of more complex features using best practices for development and ensuring they are used across the project • Conduct code reviews of the system being developed • Assist in testing efforts, perform unit testing and fixes during testing phase • Create/document deployment and operational procedures • Communicating risks and issues to project management MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 Year Experience is required in the following technical areas: • Security Event and Information Monitoring. • Cisco CSMARS or Cisco Firewalls • RSA Envision Security software system Thanks, Shalin TCA Consulting Group Inc.
