Description:
Risk Horizontal is tasked with building a shared set of components, services
and analytics 'brokers' for risk management across the investment bank. This
hire will be a senior team member to help analyze the problems, help design
solutions and implement the technology.
* Ability to help design robust global risk platform solutions.
* Ability to code with high quality and deliver software on time to meet
project milestones
* Team player fostering a collaborative and cooperative approach to software
development.
* Strong problem-solving skills
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (eg shifts, travel overseas, hours):
Staff may occasionally need to be on calls with Singapore and London in
their time zone and some weekend work on production releases, but no actual
shift work.
Developer/Analyst
* Provision of relevant technical designs, unit test docs and release
documentation.
* Team player fostering a collaborative and cooperative approach to software
development.
* 5+ years of commercial software development in the Finance/Banking sector.
* Significant experience of full development/project life-cycle.
* Experience with Design patterns.
* Proven OO programming experience.
* Knowledge of risk management, trading and how system software aids trading
and risk decision making.
* Strong design and architecture skils including OO design and mult-tier
messaging frameworks.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working in a global team, including excellent communication
skills.
* Excellent business writing skills.
* Ability to review and improve more junior team member designs and
solutions.
* C# skills.
* Experience building risk platforms across multiple desks or asset classes.
