Role: New Engineer Role

 The IT BIDM Prod Ops Engineer works on providing production support to BIDM 
applications. The candidate will be  supporting code migrations, scheduling 
changes, and incident management, establish ETL best practices & manage 
production 
releases working closely with ETL development team. Most importantly, the right 
Individual is highly motivated, with a positive, Can-do attitude for delivering 
technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Functions

·         Act as technical lead for production support service team and 
coordinate 
with other teams to resolve all support issues.

·         Collaborate with Development teams, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise 
command Center and IT service desk to deliver an outstanding BIDM production 
operational services to the organization.

·         Provide status at regular intervals to Impacted user/IT/ management 
on delays and outages related while on production support.

·         Ability to troubleshoot failures and reason for failures.

·         Implement Informatica ETL code Migration strategy across environments 
and roll back.

·         Provides technical assistance, guidance and training to staff. Build 
and implement best ETL practices.

·         Collaborate with larger BIDM team to establish SLA and document 
production 
support manual.

·         Provide support to BIDM Incident & Release management. This includes 
but not limited to tracking the incident, applying emergency bug fixes, 
incident 
closer, and incident reports. 

·         Collaborate with all relevant BIDM & IT resources to develop 
preventive 
measures (Problem Management).

·         Partners with BIDM development team and other IT service groups to 
build a quality service model for the group ensuring adherence to bank and 
information systems policies and procedures, security measures and audit 
standards.

·         Ensures adherence to bank and information systems policies and

·         Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Education or Equivalent Experience


• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.

Required Experience


• 8-10 years IT experience

 

Administrative / Technical Skills / Other Information:


• Strong knowledge in ITIL practices in the area of Incident, Release, and 
Change and Problem management.
• Experience in data management and service delivery for financial services.
• Experience of various Informatica Products- Powercenter, IDQ, B2B and 
Metadata 
Manager.
• Experience with SQL scripts and Unix scripts.
• Understanding of scheduling tool. Tidal and schedule administration is 
desired.
• Knowledge of business intelligence terms & data Warehouse concepts, 
architecture 
and technologies.
• Good understanding of database technologies such as Oracle and Teradata.
• Ability to address high priority production issues and break down the problem 
statement efficiently for user communication.
• Experience in managing work / incident queues.
• Excellent communications skills with strong analytical and problem solving 
skills required.
• Experience in working with VMWare environment is a plus.
