I will appreciate your response at the earliest, as the managers tend to move fast! *Job Title Technical Writer* *Project Location Lansing, MI* *Duration 12+ months /Contract* *Name (First & Last)* *Contact No.* *Email ID * *Current Location* *Willing to Relocate if need* *Work Visa Status* *Availability * How soon can you join?* *Reason for change* *Are you fine with drug and background check?* *Skype ID* *Last 4 Digit SSN No.* *DOB(Day, Month)* The State of Michigan, DTMB is seeking two (2) Technical Writers to complete the tasks as outlined below: *Task 1: * Serve as technical writer on the Client Service Center Quality Assurance team • Approval all articles prior to publishing • Provide support to other technical writers and article authors • Perform research to identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for knowledgebase articles. • Facilitate Service Intakes with SMEs for gathering technical information for new procedures and updates. • Develop and write knowledgebase articles and procedures • Monitor and process incoming requests for technical procedure modifications via the RKM Update Request tool. • Integrate procedural solutions to be in alignment with QA Customer Satisfaction/Metrics and Training processes. *Task 2: * Develop and enforce standards for both the format and content of knowledgebase articles. • Establish and enforce knowledgebase technical writing standards • Establish and enforce knowledgebase formatting standards • Extensive use of Remedy Knowledge Management (RKM) for all stages of the knowledge article lifecycle • Use of HTML programming language within RKM for updating and enhancing knowledgebase content • Maintain a customer focus as knowledgebase articles will be available to both customer and technical staff • Assist with the development of development of policies and procedures necessary to ensure accurate and up to date information within knowledge articles *Task 3:* Ensure that the goals and business needs of the DTMB Client Service Center are met, in its functions of meeting the IT technical support needs of all State of Michigan employees and partners, from an IT quality assurance perspective. • Analyze and test new development tools, languages and equipment upgrades. • Maintain a thorough and ongoing knowledge and awareness of IT developments and trends in CSC. • Work with other members of the CSC QA team and QA manager to identify new quality assurance requirements, IT support needs, and recommend programmatic services. • Review and gather potential solutions for the Client Service Center • Continual review of the Client Service Center environment to be able to suggest employee motivation and engagement strategies. *Experience Required * • 5 years of experience in technical documentation and procedure writing • 5 years of experience in communicating within a professional environment, both verbally and written. • 2 year experience in coordinating resources, working in a team setting, and evaluating processes for improvements. • 2 year experience in communicating technical terminology to various level of audiences *Experience Preferred * • Familiarity with knowledgebase software, experience with Remedy Knowledge Management preferred • HTML programming familiarity • Experience in Help Desk and End User support *Education Required * Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major *Skill* *Required experience In years* *Experience that you have* exp. tech documentation and procedure writing Exp. communicating in prof env verbal and written coord resources, wk in teams, process improvement ability to comm tech terms to various audiences knowledge base SW exp, pref.
