*Position: Performance Engineering-Testing Lead/manager  *

*Location: Marlborough, MA*

*Duration: 6 Months + *



*Description:*

The successful candidate must have a passion for performance engineering
profession and previous experience leading successful performance teams.
The candidate must be proficient in defining and executing appropriate
performance strategies/plans, success metrics, etc.

Note: Solid communication/presentation skills  and stakeholder management
experience are crucial for this role.

The candidate must have previous performance engineering management
experience across multiple projects as well as experience with agile/scrum
methodologies:

• Build Stakeholder Relationship and Performance Engineering Technical
Strategy for the Large Program

• Work with program stakeholders, define & drive the strategic aims and
roadmap for performance engineering throughout the SDLC to achieve Program
goals

• Be responsible for working closely with customer managers, architects,
developers, and quality assurance to ensure performance measurements are
being addressed in a timely fashion

• Participate and review application architecture, design and requirements
documents from performance perspective.

• Good understanding of one or more operating systems (preferably AIX,
Linux, windows) and analyze how they contribute to performance

• Good understanding of one of the enterprise databases like Oracle, DB2 or
SQL etc.

• Experience with performance tools such as Performance center, Sitescope,
Shunra etc.

• Experience with J2EE diagnostics tools like Dynatrace/app dynamics/ HP
Diagnostics etc.

• Understand  business use cases, internal/external performance Benchmarks,
debug performance issues, decision making on issues, technical assistance
in performance analysis, and tuning  databases and applications stack

• Exhibit a high degree of skill in matrix management and ability to
influence others (both management and core technical areas)

• Provide mentoring to the team and provide guidance and support in using
processes and tools

• Define and utilize metrics and reports to manage performance efforts

• Understand  business use cases, internal/external performance Benchmarks,
debug performance issues, decision making on issues, technical assistance
in performance analysis, and tuning  databases and applications stack
