The Engineer will build products, author provisioning scripts, configure tools and assist with programs to support operations. They will also leverage application monitoring tools to troubleshoot and diagnose environment issues. Responsibilities • Create and maintain new build and deployment automation infrastructure • Participate with Scrum teams for specific projects • Participate in release activities with the cross-functional Agile project teams • Monitor and troubleshoot environmental issues as needed • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new software products • Application Artifact and VM Image generation (AMI/QCOW2) • Creating, maintaining, and augmenting Chef provisioning scripts • Performs other duties as assigned Preferred Experience: • Solid understanding of the Linux Operating Systems (Redhat) • Provisioning experience with Chef, or Puppet (Chef preferred) • Version Control experience with Subversion or Git • AWS or other cloud vendor experience • OpenStack experience is a plus • Java or Ruby programming knowledge • Experience with Maven and Ant • Agile development process experience • Hadoop, Vert.x and Apache Tomcat experience • Experience with Cloudformation or Heat templess Qualifications Education: This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
