Job Title: SQL Database Developer Location: Richardson, TX (Only local candidates) Duration: 6 Months contract on going project Tax terms: C2C *Job Description:* · Our direct client in North Dallas is in need of a contractor for a long term on-going project. · As a Senior Software Database developer, you'll need to work under minimal supervision and support the application development teams in all aspects of the agile development life cycle · Develop and adheres to policies, procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the production and non-production databases · Implements data models and database designs, data access and database maintenance *Basic requirements*: · Develop, implement and support critical applications, databases and reports in a MS-SQL environment, using Microsoft SQL tools; T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS · Assist in creating database objects (tables, indexes) and develop strategies for archive recovery and data base implementations · Develop complex stored procedures, views and functions on MS SQL Server (2008 and 2012) utilizing strong TSQL experience · Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities · Assist developers with database activities · Assist with the change control processes by following standardized procedures to apply database changes in different environments · Performs day to day system metrics, performance analysis, application tuning, and scaling of infrastructure as needed · Analyze, administer, tune and support critical applications and databases running in a MS-SQL environment in order to maintain high levels of availability for end users · Knowledge in Data Warehousing ETL using Informatica PowerCenter 9.x is preferable · Proven problem solving skills · Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment · Capable of designing and maintaining complex schemas · Capable of mentoring other Database Developers · Excellent written and verbal communications skills required *Technical Qualifications*: · Bachelor’s degree in CS or MIS or equivalent · 5 - 8 years of experience in database development · Five (5) years of progressive experience supporting mission critical production applications and databases preferred · Two years of Agile Development experience · The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an agile software development environment, including emergent architecture, changing requirements, and changing priorities (SCRUM, Agile, XP, etc.).
