We are looking for an intelligent and motivated Data Center Engineer, who is enthusiastic about overall data center deployment operations, to support various services we build and manage and take on interesting and mission-critical projects as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. *RESPONSIBILITIES* Ø Deployment of a large inventory of server, network and infrastructure equipment with Cisco and HP rack mount server and blade system deployment, configuration, provisioning, and troubleshooting. Ø Storage systems deployment, configuration, provisioning and troubleshooting experience. Working knowledge of VCEM and vCenter, UCS and ESX is a plus. Ø Deployment of virtual infrastructures. Ø Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Ø Track, troubleshoot and remedy hardware and network issues, and manage RMA processes with vendors. Ø Implement best-practice methodology for maintaining a datacenter environment. Ø Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation. *Qualification:* Ø BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) Ø Knowledgeable in data center best practices including cabling, inventory tracking, spare inventory management, etc. Ø Extensive experience performing hardware troubleshooting in a large-scale web production environment. Ø Skill in diagnosing complex technical problems and providing detailed analysis and recommendations. Ø Experience with multiple OS environments including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Windows. Ø Self-motivated, strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and able to work efficiently without close supervision. Ø Understanding of Network, LAN and WAN, VLANs and Trust Levels are a plus. Ø Understanding of Storage, SAN and NAS as well as RAID controller configuration, SCSI, ATA and SAS. Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong interpersonal skills.
