Systems Modernization
Agency is looking to hire a Programmer/Analysts to work with staff for the
purpose of analyzing, developing and testing for all aspects of the systems
modernization initiatives. Government regulations drive these initiatives
requiring overhaul of our legacy silo applications to bring them into
current architecture methodologies with improvement to quality and
governance of our enterprise master data.
*Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:*
- Define the data requirements, write application specifications and
design for the mainframe processing.
- Programs will be written in Cobol based on the design and necessary
JCL will be written as well.
- Unit testing for each module is required as well as writing test plans
for the integration test.
- When testing is completed the developer will be required to migrate
the programs to the production environment and perform post production
validation of the implementation.
*PART A: The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:*
*Senior Level *
*You must be a Senior Programmer Analyst / COBOL with documented employment
experience of 5-7 years (60 - 84 months).*
- You must have experience with analysis, design, coding, component and
assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team.
Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development
work. Write application software, data analysis, data access, data
structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and
implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions.
- You must be able to work without assistance and can provide leadership
for others; may have advanced education.
*PART B: Requested Desirable Qualifications: *The numbered
qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or
exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 5 of numbers 1
through 10.
