Build Engineer Location: Watsonville, CA Length: 6-12 months Start: ASAP Interview: phone / F2F Local Only JOB SUMMARY: The Build Engineer is primarily responsible for build and release planning and smoke testing applications in support of the development team. Also responsible for controlling the state of applications throughout the development process by maintaining version control and working with team members to deploy the application in multiple environments. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study and 3-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. • Experience in deploying applications using continuous integration model. • Experience in developing the build scripts using nAnt or related technologies. • Experience deploying applications and APIs built using .NET Framework to IIS. • Some programming experience or education required. • Experience with Web and application servers and networking is required. • Experience with database management and administration. • Requires the ability to manage multiple projects in different environments. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills. • Experience in creating the build infrastructure physical diagrams. • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, iterative collaborative environment is essential. • Experience with Version Control like SVN and GIT is required. • Comfortable with dynamic environment, flexible in times of change and some after-hours support required. • Works independently or with minimal supervision. • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and presentation skills required; valid CA driver’s license.
