1 more opening for a SQL Server Dev/DBA for 3 months Will hire over the phone, but local candidates are preferred. *Sr. SQL Server Development DBA* The continued success and rapid growth of our company has created a need for a customer oriented Sr. Development DBA to join our implementation engineering team. You will take a leadership role for the database design and join in the development of the customization and implementations of our enterprise Care Management software solutions. This also includes: - Writing SQL code (stored procedures, triggers, database scripts) to implement business logic and database maintenance - Database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and data concurrency analysis - Data modeling - Various database administration tasks in our development and test environments - Working with Developer and QA teams for ad-hoc SQL Server support. - Developing and maintaining standards We are a very customer centric organization so the individual will interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. * Job Requirements:* · A thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 (enterprise and standard editions) and Windows 2000/2003 Server. · A strong understanding of MS SQL 2000/2005 security, MS SQL 2000/2005 performance monitoring and optimization techniques, indexes, constraints, transactions, file groups, stored procedures, full text searching, triggers, cursors, locking, and UDF’s · The ability to plan, test, and implement the safe modification of a production database environment during software upgrade cycles · A strong understanding of MS SQL 2000/2005 backup and disaster recovery techniques · Strong understanding of storage technologies including RAID, SAN's, etc. (nice to have) · Strong understanding of database replication (nice to have) · Able to organize, prioritize, and manage personal workload and projects with minimal supervision · Strong interpersonal communication skills · Proficiency with Java, Hibernate and Spring are a plus - BS degree in CS or equivalent required - Microsoft Certifications (highly desirable) (I don’t think we need this) -- -- Looking forward to work with you..........
