Aside for being proficient on the technologies we’re listing we’d like the
candidate to be design oriented with experience to not only on developing
 UI solution but also with experience participating / proposing the design
of presentation and presentation control components and process flows.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills, expectation is that
this person will be working directly with users, business stakeholders and
other IT professionals, understanding user experience, areas of concerns,
reviewing prototypes, etc.

*POSITION SUMMARY*
This position is responsible for the creation of presentation and
presentation control components for n-tier Windows applications with a
focus on font end development.

The candidate should possess the ability to participate in the design and
development of intuitive, high quality GUIs based on a Windows WPF/MVVM
platform to support complex interactions and back-office business
workflows. Candidates should have a strong passion for designing
high-quality/user-centric interfaces.

Candidate will spend 50% of the time developing presentation and
presentation control components, creating proof of concepts, and writing
unit test scripts; 30% working closely with subject matter experts and a UX
designer, participating in the design of screens and bringing concepts from
ideas to prototypes; 20% of time working on support and project
administrative tasks.

This role requires working closely with a wide variety of people in various
roles such as business stakeholders, subject matter experts, UX designers,
business analysts, architects, developers, and testers. As such, verbal and
written communication skills are very important.

This is not a leadership role where the candidate is expected to manage or
provide work direction to others.

*The role requires the candidate to be on-site 40 hours a week.*

*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Participates in the design of screens and process flows to create
professional user interfaces for back-office business applications.
-  Meets with end users to identify areas of concern, understand user
experience, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Works with architect to conform to application and department standards.
- Works with business analyst to understand and refine functional
requirements.
- Works with business design team members to help formulate UI solutions to
complex workflow problems.
- Performs thorough unit and integration testing.
- Assists the testing team in setting up automated regression test scripts.
- Provides work estimates based on documented project scope.

*REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE*
- Excellent *WPF|XAML* development skills with minimum 3 years of
experience.
- Good understanding of *UX/HCI design concepts.*
- Creative visual problem-solver.
- Passion for design and usability.
- Ability to perform rapid prototyping.
- Experience implementing the *MVVM design pattern.*
- Solid C# skills, including experience using *LINQ, WCF consumption, and
asynchronous application development.*
- Experience executing in an Agile SDLC.

*OPTIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIECE*
- Knowledge of user experience research and user experience testing.
- Experience with Inversion of Control
- Experience with Caliburn.Mirco framework.
- Experience working with Autofac.
- Past experience in invoicing, accounting, or finance related software
applications.
- Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance fundamentals a major plus.
