*Job Title: Solution Architect* *Location- Minneapolis, MN* *Duration- 6 Months* *Local preferred* *JOB DESCRIPTION* Responsible for leading technology strategy definition discussion and the development of implementation roadmaps. Key activities include the identification of risks / opportunities with current technical landscape, generating and leading the implementation of overarching platform strategies, directing initiatives to mitigate risk, and assisting with establishing and maintaining a governance model for Medtronic architecture. Working with teams to develop Architecture Definition Documents The successful candidate will assume responsibility for achieving expected outcomes related to overall (possibly SAP) architecture and optimizing Medtronic’s investment from the technical landscape. This individual will serve as a representative from the Global Architecture team to review new initiatives and provide architecture guidance and decisions regarding the viability of software components, design and operationalize the IT landscape to optimize platform stability and enhance operations, and participate within the Architecture Collaboration Board and Architecture Technology Governance Council to establish and maintain standards. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for designing and delivering solutions that are aligned with business requirements. Partner with Global Infrastructure & Application Services colleagues to evaluate current global. Provide architecture expertise, guidance and governance for new initiatives, in order to ensure platform stability, risk management & mitigation, adherence to standards, and optimization of Medtronic’s investment. Deliverables include system architecture diagrams and data flows outlining the connectivity between modules and across platforms. Provide insight and demonstrated knowledge to influence various strategies including; Roadmap development Technical representative providing expertise and deliverables related to vendor solution assessments Advising to support Transport Management Strategy Work with project management and project teams to provide input toward resource requirements, incorporate technical tasks in the overall project plan, and confirm technical scope ensuring fit of requirements into SAP architecture. *Other duties & responsibilities aligning to Medtronic’s culture include*: Contribute to and cultivate a culture promoting effective software management practices and execution. Foster a positive, engaging and challenging team-focused ‘global’ work environment to ensure high productivity, employee engagement, and optimal performance. Build and maintain active, collaborative relationships with key Global IT and Corporate team stakeholders. Ensure high level of partnering on strategic initiatives and business priorities.
