Utilizes communication skills necessary to effectively coordinate investigation and definition of user requirements. Defines the detailed requirements, analyzes the business needs, and validates solutions with the client and ensures that development occurs according to specifications. Performs BPM (Business Process Modeling) using proven methodology practices. Translates business requirements into use cases, activity diagrams and functional specifications. Performs a consulting role in solving business related issues working with the business and technical delivery team. Has broad knowledge of airline operations. Ability to thoroughly explain and objectively evaluate United’s current functionality, processes and alternative solutions. Major responsibilities include requirements gathering, working with Solution Architect to transform conceptual ideas into innovative robust solutions, and testing. Acts as liaison in a matrix environment with key partner groups. Works with different project teams. Acts as the liaison point between the business, functional and Technical teams. Consulting role on the design and implementation of the optimal migration, deployment approach and interfaces. *BA or BS is required. Master’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred*. • *Minimum of 10 years of experience in working with technology projects in a Business Analysis role**.* The position requires *strong knowledge and experience with all project life-cycle phases*. Demonstrated understanding of business practices and processes, with ability to clearly document and communicate business concepts. Hands-on proficiency with word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), Visio, Microsoft Project and Pro Vision. Working knowledge of software and Internet technologies. Airline operations experience is desired. Detailed knowledge of and experience with various aspects of airline operations. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
