*System Analyst – Java* St. Louis, MO 6+ Months F2F interview is required *Note:* Firstly this is not new development the candidate will be troubleshooting apps most of which are pre J2EE. Secondly, this candidate must have outstanding communication skills as they will be communicating with the clients oversees in London and South Africa because there is no IT department there. It is a very fast paced fun environment they are looking for someone who is not afraid to ask for help when getting behind on tickets. *Position Overview* Design, implement and maintain medium sized projects and/or technology initiatives to ensure timely and cost effective flow of information to stakeholders. Provide technical consultation and training to IT associates and users. Develop customer relationships and serve as the point of contact for user support and training *Responsibilities* 1.Coordinate design and implementation of evolving technical architecture using vendor supplied, existing or proposed applications. 2.Provide technical and/or business application consultation to business partners and team members in the areas of functionality, architecture, operating systems and databases for complex application systems. 3.Analyze business requirements, develop functional specifications and perform gap analysis of existing information systems. Identify and resolve problems in order to provide continuous business operations. 4.Test, debug and implement system solutions. Consult with business partners in the development of test data and review results with users. 5.Develop and maintain documentation of technical architecture required to provide quality application development and support, protection of data assets and support business resumption planning. 6.Develop and maintain effective business relationships. 7.Provide training and guidance to team members and business partners as required. 8.Maintain regular and predictable attendance. 9.Perform other duties as assigned. *Requirements* •5-8 years experience in programming/systems analysis •Proven experience with structured and object oriented programming, relational database design, operating systems, networking concepts, and systems integration. •Solid knowledge of the following technologies: HTTP, SSL, SOAP, XML, XSLT, SQL, EJB, CSS, and Excel. •Solid knowledge of AIX/Linux, Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, JBOS •Knowledge of various open source tools: Struts, Hibernate, Quartz, Interface21, Log4j, Apache Commons, etc. •Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge •Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions •Advanced investigative, analytical and problem solving skills •Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables •Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects •Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives •Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions •Advanced skills in customer relationship management and change management •Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines •General business knowledge •HTML/XML Java •VB/C#/ASP (.Net) SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) •SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) PS/SQL •Oracle & SQL Server DB MS Reporting Services •Web Services Groovy/Grails •Automated Builds TDD *Email is the best way to reach me.* [image: signature-logo (2)] ISO 9001:2008 Certified WMBE Firm 1441 E.
