Please go through with the requirement and let me know your interest *Role: Data Governance Analyst* *Location: Columbus, Ohio* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Role description:* A data governance analyst performs a variety of tasks related to governance policies, process and standards. A data governance analyst will be responsible for data definitions, root cause analysis of data issues, reference data management, and mitigation of downstream impacts associated with a project/program. A data governance analyst will approve data exceptions and data quality metrics. *Role accountabilities:* A data governance analyst will have a natural inclination and passion toward data management and problem solving in a disciplined process oriented fashion. A data governance analyst will – Ensures Adherence to Nationwide’s Data Governance processes, policies, and standards. – Coordinates and collaborates with multiple partners including enterprise data governance, data custodian, data stewards, data analyst, data and system architects, Office or Privacy, and Information Risk Management(IRM) to name a few. – Ensure appropriate understanding, interpretation and usage of business data definitions, project specific data definitions and the data certification list of terms to be certified. – Performs root cause analysis, identifying and resolving data quality issues for remediation – Perform data quality audits on project data for such things as inconsistent data, incomplete data, business rule violations, incorrect data, etc. – Manages reference data and their hierarchies for a program/project – Understands and provides guidance in adhering to Master Data Management governance policies. – Approves all data quality exceptions on the program/project – Mitigates down stream impacts and identifies potentials risks associated with the program/project. – Conduct data validation and reconciliation processes following completion of data integration associated with the program/project. – Reviews and approves data quality metrics and validation rules for the program/project. *Recommended experiences* Data centric analysis of data and it definitions, data quality issue resolution, defining business definitions, enforcement of data governance policies, process, and standards, and experience working with multiple partners to ensure data quality. It is beneficial but not required for individuals to have worked as a data governance analyst in any of the following types of projects: Analytically Intensive – Intended to confirm the common understanding of the data. Operationally Data Intensive – Intended to approve authoritative data sources that are essential to core transactional processing Data Integration Intensive – Intended to confirm the common understanding data being integrated and mitigate down stream impacts Experience using the results of data quality analysis and determining whether existing sources of data are sufficient to satisfy the business needs, recommend other sources of data, understanding the business context.
