*Job Title – Project Manager Location – Foster City, California Duration - 6 – 12 Months (Possible Extension)* *Rate - DOE * *F2F Required / Locals* *Job Description* – This candidate will join the Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with teams comprised of all ranges of technical and business personnel. A successful candidate MUST be PMP certified and have significant Technical Project Management experience and superb business-facing communication skills. The ability to manage outsourced development vendors and work effectively with multiple IT, QA, Security, Infrastructure and business partners is key. Payment industry experience is a definite plus. Education/Experience o Minimum of 12 years of project management experience leading technical teams in the delivery of software development, operational and integration efforts. o Minimum of 2 years of experience managing PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) system projects. o Undergraduate degree in technical or business discipline required (equivalent work experience will be considered); advanced degree preferred. Concentration in Finance or Risk or Sales & Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline required. o Must be PMP-certified (No exceptions). o Must possess a CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or other active Agile certification. o Demonstrable experience in Jira, Rally or other industry-recognized Agile management system. o Demonstrable experience in managing several concurrent medium-scale high profile projects with extensive executive stakeholder participation. o Experience in facilitating multi-tiered project governance processes. o Expertise in MS Project 2010 schedule management including understanding the role of robust WBS’s. o Strong understanding of mature business requirements traceability processes. o Direct a mix of internal and outsourced/vendor, geographically diverse resources for project delivery. o Ability to establish and sustain effective, professional relationships with IT and business managers. o Strategic thinking and the proven ability to engage and influence senior and executive management. Skills o Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices. o Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams. o Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization. o Independent judgment and mature decision making skills to deal with projects that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance implications and impact. o Solid analytical and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically. o Well-honed influencing skills; ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist. o Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) o Reputation for being a collaborative partner and business leader, skilled at leveraging formal and informal relationships. o Provide the necessary expertise, direction, motivation and encouragement to the team. o Demonstrate leadership qualities including flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibility as required Qualifications • Significant experience in managing and executing applications specifically :OBIEE, Tableau, ETL, ESSBASE, Cognos, TM1 and other Business intelligence projects with complex and disparate source systems such as Oracle ERP, Oracle Hyperion and disparate Business applications • Experience delivering Business intelligence projects with a large scale global financial system such as Oracle Financial e-Business Suite, FP & A(Revenue Planning and Hyperion), Global Data Warehouse projects preferred. • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required. Communicate technical, business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels. • Ability to understand Business needs related to Sales (Opportunity tracking and Analysis), Finance (Procure to Pay, Record to Report) and Marketing areas • Experience working with and managing the activities of third party vendors. • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration. • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices. • Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams in remote locations. • Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization. • Solid analytical skills; able to think strategically. Responsibilities • Partnering with Business and IT Development, manage cross-divisional projects, in remote locations, including: - Define scope, create accurate and inclusive estimates, develop budgets and project plans, and produce high quality project charters and other planning documentation needed for funding approvals. - Direct project activities, conduct reviews, manage risk mitigation, issues, change control processes, and communicate status to senior executives within the development and business partner organizations. - Manage and track project budgets, forecasts and schedule to achieve target scope, schedule and cost. - Ensure that all projects are in compliance with internal Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly on project progress and financial status. • Provide project teams with expertise, direction, motivation, and encouragement. Direct project team composed of: local and remote teams/resources and external vendors, Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibilities. • Achieve project goals by collaborating with stakeholders at all management levels, including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and senior management. Demonstrate skills in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders. • Manage through influence, but without direct management authority. Use capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations. • Embrace teamwork while promoting a culture of openness and flexibility.
