If you find your self suitable for the position, please send me your latest updated resume along with contact details. *Job Title Cognos/SAP BI Architect* *Project Location Atlanta, GA* *Duration Long Term* *Interview Mode: Phone and Skype* * Skills Required and Job Description: * *Day to Day:* Responsible for the analysis, architect, design, development, configuration, unit-testing, and implementation of new and existing, custom and third party Business Intelligence applications in an enterprise environment. Build and maintain the existing dashboards, reports, analytics, and packages on dimensional and normalized models. Extensive experience with the Cognos BI suite and SAP BI suite tools as an architect, developer and an administrator, including installation, upgrades, and security maintenance within the tools. Assist business hours and after hours support for applications already in production. Mentor and standardize the processes and the objects to achieve within the standard SLA. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Standardize BI processes and objects to deliver the acceptable results in the enterprise layer. - Architect, design and implement SAP BI initiatives. - Architect, design and implement Cognos BI initiatives - Implement SDLC in agile and waterfall methodologies and the processes - Multi-tasking on multiple projects potentially at different stages of project development - Working with project sponsors to assist with documentation of the requirements - Perform analysis, architect, and design activities for BI projects based on the requirements and long-term enterprise initiatives - Analyze data needs and recommend data models or changes to data models - Develop complex reports for various functions within the organization - Assist with quality assurance efforts by creating and executing test plans - Assist in creating user documentation for applications - Create technical documentation and perform design reviews - Coordinate system sign-off, migration to production, and support of applications - Perform administration tasks required for Cognos 10.2.1 and SAP BI platform 4.x - Mentoring and training technical and non-technical team members *Must Haves:* - 12 or more years of experience in IT, 5 or more years of experience as a BI Architect, 7 or more years of experience as an application developer on Business Intelligence projects. - Expertise in BI enterprise standards, processes, benchmarking, and deployment. - In depth experience with SAP BI applications and Cognos BI applications. - Experience creating and implementing framework manager models and SAP universes. - In depth experience with data warehousing and business intelligence projects, having delivered on multiple solutions in these areas - Expertise in writing SQL and SQL stored procedures - Experience working with Bex queries and Designer Studio. - Expertise in BI servers installing, configuring, administration and tuning. - Thorough understanding of SDLC in agile and waterfall methodologies and the processes - Proficient of relational databases and dimensional models concepts - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written - Bachelor’s degree in related discipline Regards Javed Ansari Sr. Technical Recruiter, Dominion Technology Services Corp.
