*Location: Herndon, VA*** The Systems Engineering Provisioning group is seeking a Technology Engineer with experience in the development of automation test cases in a distributed J2EE environment. This group is responsible for the design and engineering of the *enterprise provisioning system for High Speed Data, Voice (VoIP), and Video serv**ices*. This position requires strong interpersonal and technical troubleshooting skills. The applicant must work directly with multiple engineering teams that support independent system solutions. A successful applicant must be able to demonstrate ability to ensure that testing solutions support business requirements, engineering designs and exercise complete code coverage for provisioning group solutions. The applicant may be required to implement solutions for defects discovered during the testing of the system. The applicant must have knowledge and experience in the following technologies; 1 to 5 years* experience coding in Java using J2EE technologies, experience with XML, XPath and XQuery, experience with implementing SOAP clients and developing distributed applications**.* The applicant must have experience with an Oracle database and writing SQL. The applicant should have experience developing JUnit test cases and be comfortable working in a Unix/Solaris development environment. Experience testing applications on a BEA WebLogic Platform is desired. Experience using load tools is a plus (Quest tools preferred). Knowledge and experience with enterprise and carrier class Mail applications and LDAP is desired. Past experience developing automated test cases with *COTS products is a plus (iTKO Lisa or Parasoft SOATest*) The applicant must be able to understand and assess system impact when issues are encountered. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop detailed test plans and test cases. Develop automation integration test case solutions that fully exercise business use cases. Verify Time Warner Cable solutions through system and integration test. Review technical documentation to ensure accuracy of installation/back-out procedure and system fulfillment of documented requirements. Document and verify system installation, configuration, and operations guides in support of new products and services. Gathers and evaluates system performance data.
