Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6-12 months Rate: $35/hr all inclusive *Business Purpose of Project /Project description (To be published in job boards):* Under the direction of the client, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment is responsible for planning, designing, developing, installing, enhancing, testing, troubleshooting, integrating and supporting the Student Information Systems applications developed in the Microsoft .NET environment. *Job Functions or Responsibilities:* • Manage requirements gathering and analysis. • Analyze requirements and data access needs and propose file and screen designs. • Maintain documentation and follow DIIT PMO standards. • Design Data Transformations and Web Services. • Design database tables and develop stored procedures, triggers as needed. • Code new objects (programs) in .net to meet the requirements. • Design and develop reports. • Conduct user acceptance review sessions. • Deploy the applications to multiple environments and conduct unit and integration testing. These activities will encompass all project life cycle phases including production support (24/7) and documentation of all tasks in accordance with client’s standards. The applications involved areas in Visual Studio .Net with SQL Server for data management and Active Directory for identity management and Cognos for reporting. *Must Have Educational Qualifications/Skills/Experience (Basic Qualifications):* • Five or more years of technical experience --- 5 years • Two or more years of experience designing and developing Web applications using VISUAL STUDIO.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, HTML, VB.NET, C#.NET, SQL Server 2005, Internet Security. --- 2 years **Must Have Soft Skills/Experience (i.e. communications, environment):* • Experience in transactional and dimensional database design. • Object oriented design and programming. • Experience developing stored procedures that interface with SQL Server. • System Analysis Skills. • Good writing and verbal communication skills. • Student application knowledge. • Active Directory, LDAP. • Crystal and Cognos reporting Knowledge.
