The Solution Architect should have a well-rounded background designing and
architecting solutions for the most recent 5 years with Java, J2EE
Platforms, Business Process Monitoring, Middleware, and Modeling Workflows
and have a good understanding of Security Concepts. The candidate should
have 10 years’ experience in a software environment with a Telco and BSS
Background with a focus on Data and Ethernet.
*Required Skills*
- 10+ years of software experience
- 5+ years’ most recent experience in enterprise and solution
architecture
- Specifically with service-oriented architecture, web applications
architecture encompassing several platforms and tools.
- Must have experience defining software and hardware architecture,
resolution of system-wide issues,
- Must have background in BSS – Business Support Services
- Must have experience with Ethernet and Data solutions
- 7+ years’ experience using each of the following:
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Middleware oriented management, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
- Web applications architecture
- Software technologies (.NET, J2EE, Mobility)
- Enterprise Architecture tools (Visio, IBM Rational Software
Architect, etc.)
- Enterprise Content Management tools (document management, document
warehouse, content management tools, etc.)
- Database architecture, logical data modeling
- Collaboration tools
- Workflow and business process management
- Must have a good understanding of Enterprise to Enterprise solutions
- Must have a good understanding of various types of software delivery
methodologies.
- Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the interpersonal skills for leading and influencing
multiple teams and interacting with senior management
*Preferred Skills*
- Telecom or ISP domain is a plus, specifically with Ethernet, Internet,
Video technologies
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology is a plus
