The technical engineer will be a member of the Windows 7 & Office 2007 core team to implement technical solutions for the Windows 7 & Office 2007 project. The qualified candidate will have experience delivering Windows 7 & Office 2007. This is a technical role and requires in depth knowledge of Windows 7 & Office 2007. *Responsibilities* Provide technical guidance on Windows 7 and its associated features Leverage Windows 7 and Microsoft tools to build a Windows 7 gold image Prep client’s infrastructure to accommodate Windows 7. This includes but is not limited to; implementing GPO, Active Directory, Windows Server 2008, print servers, and Direct Access Partner with vendors to resolve application compatibility issues Partner with vendors to resolve hardware and driver issues Develop User State Migration Strategy for Windows 7 Rollout *Experience* *Prior experience with Windows 7 & Office 2007 migration is a must * Demonstrate in depth knowledge of Microsoft Products especially Window 7 & Office 2007 Strong understanding of *Windows 7 migration and deployment tools* Experience with *Direct Access* is highly preferred Familiarity with application packaging and distribution Very strong technical interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and ability to interact positively with management as well as communicating problems to appropriate teams within our organization.
