**Business Purpose of Project /Project description: *Working as part of an
IT Business Intelligence team, this role provides leadership for the
technical design, development, execution and implementation of components
into the BI Enterprise environment.
**Job Functions or Responsibilities: *
• Responsible for leading in application design, analysis, development,
integration, enhancement, maintenance and support.
• Define technical requirements, technical and data architectures for the
data warehouse
• Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members
• Drive execution of BI development work which includes:
o Working with project teams to provide input and assistance in the design,
development, execution and implementation of components into the BI
environment
o Working with business partner to manage expectations and set
priorities/execution sequence for enhancements and support
o Provide single point for management of components to be introduced into
the BI environment
o Engineering oversight of overall components for the OBIEE environment
o Hands on building of BI components including: ETL (Informatica), ?
Business Models, Reports and Dashboards
• Provides business process expertise.
• Advises on system options, risk, cost versus benefits, and impacts on
business processes and goals.
• Develops system requirements (application specifications)
• Establishes liaison relationships with business partners and/or suppliers
in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence
strategic initiatives.
• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of
existing code.
• Ensures the adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Reviews modules for quality assurance and ensures compliance with
application architecture standards.
• May assist in defining development guidelines and standards to be utilized
in software development/ integration.
• Oversees unit testing and ensures applications meet specifications.
• Develops plans and leads the implementation of integration testing.
• Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration
testing process.
• Ensures all activities are documented.
• Ensures modules are production ready.
• Provide technical leadership on ETL process, including data quality and
testing
• Provide technical leadership on meta data standards for the data warehouse
• Effect communication of issues and the management of their resolution by
working with business teams and support vendor
• Provide automation of technical processes wherever possible to manage and
monitor BI effectively

Proven expertise with gathering requirements and End-to-end SDLC
experience: analysis and scoping, design, development, QA, and deployment

Proficient with *MS Sharepoint Server* 2007: BI including: Report Center,
Dashboards, KPI’s, Windows Sharepoint Services, Standard MOSS functionality,
Enterprise Services: Excel Services, Infopath Services & Business Data
Catalog MOSS BI reporting: MOSS KPI’s, MOSS Report Center

Experience working with Strategy Companion Analyzer, Proficient with Data
Marts, Proficient with Sharepoint designer / Data views, Proficient with MS
Team Foundation Server (TFS) - Source code repository, version control &
release mgmt
