*Job Title : Technical project/Program Manager* *Location : Sterling, VA* *Duration : 6+ Months* *Job Description* : We are looking for a Project/Program Manager in the CIO team to manage medium to large, complex projects. The candidate must have the ability to interact with both consumers of IT services and senior level executives, have strong command skills, and confidently address issues and communicate solutions. Project Manager will collaborate across a wide variety of functions at Neustar including Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Finance. The ideal candidate is a result oriented professional, with a track record of successfully supporting cross-functional team initiatives in a rapidly changing, commercial technology focused, geo-diverse environment. Beyond solid delivery and technical skills, we seek a professional with a consultative mindset who is experienced in problem solving and relationship building. *Responsibilities include:* · Lead cross-functional project teams in planning and execution of programs by planning and tracking of financials, tasks, schedules, resources and dependencies · Facilitate & drive project meetings · Drive definition and closure of project requirements, project plans/schedules, and resource needs with stakeholders and within team resources · Actively manage programs and/or project portfolio, provide consistent program status and progress against objectives · Manage projects/portfolios that involve significant business complexity and communication, with organized collaboration and conflict resolution across diverse organizations · Analyze service offerings and program portfolio to define cost models and success metrics · Raise accountability; escalate issues in a timely manner and create and maintain detailed Project Plans · Resolve issues, dependencies and conflicts; make certain that all team members are involved and engaged · Demonstrate the ability to assess a situation and recommend changes to achieve goals, even if it means major mid-course changes to the project plan · Work to ensure projects are successfully implemented while taking into consideration a complex customized environment, constant resource constraints, accelerated timelines, and/or re-prioritization of projects · Champion & contribute to project management best practices and innovate & champion processes/methodologies at project level *Qualifications* · 5+ years of progressive experience managing initiatives in a technology environment · Specific experience managing projects in the security space (e.g. system/platform hardening, network security, security monitoring, identity access management) · Excellent management and leadership skills and a demonstrable track record of projects executed on-time and within budget · Advanced proficiency in automated project management tools · Analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) · Customer and relationship-focused, process-driven, metric-focused, results-oriented, organized and self-directed · Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and assist/advise support engineers in establishing appropriate priorities · BS (MS preferred) in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent · Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred --- Thanks !
