This position will participate in activities such as installation, configuration, tuning, and documentation, and should exemplify a “best practices” approach to other consultants on the team. The position also participates in pre-sales activities including session gathering of technical and business requirements. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Provides technical team leadership and technical guidance to a project’s technical team by carrying out the following responsibilities: • Assigns analysis, design, and development tasks to team members • Coordinates all technical team responsibilities such as installation, configuration, development, deployment, and support of user testing • Installs, integrates and tunes IBM Security QRadar SIEM solutions including: - Device Setup and Configuration - Health Check and Upgrades - Log Source Acquisition and/or New Device Implementation - Configure Devices to Send Logs to QRadar System - Analysis and tuning of system for maximum effectiveness. • Documents completed solution installation, and configuration work for the client. • Maintains technical specifications. • Conducts an informal knowledge transfer session with Client on utilizing the system to increase proficiency and ensure maximum results are achieved. • Reviews and understands all assigned Statement of Work (SOW) prior to services delivery. • Communicates status of engagement to customer, Sirius’ Services management, and Sirius rep as appropriate during engagement. • Leads pre-sales activities with clients and drafts statements of work and work and estimations for review by Manager. Requirements Position Requirements Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field • At least six (6) years work experience as a Developer, Senior Developer, Solution Architect or similar role • At least two (2) years experience implementing solutions using IBM QRadar SIEM Solution Other Position Requirements • Experience in project leadership, from design through delivery • Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems including Windows, i5/OS, z/OS, AIX, Linux, or others • Demonstrated ability to understand a client’s requirements and present appropriate options • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AppScan, Guardium, ISIM and ISAM • Full software lifecycle development experience • Experience in a consulting environment Essential Functions The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
