Provide security analyses and recommendations for implementing administrative, physical and technical controls in support of project initiatives; 2. Perform a NIST Gap Assessment to identify gaps that need to be addressed as a Security Roadmap Project 3. Assist with implementation of technical security project efforts; 4. Identify potential security concerns and possible mitigation recommendations during identification, design, testing, and implementation phases; 5. Identify potential opportunities for improving security for the organization; 6. Provide clear and concise technical documentation, assessments, status reports and other written artifacts as required; 7. Perform security testing, as needed, for the Security Roadmap Program 8. Provide staff augmentation for security testing and security consulting services. 9. Perform information security risk management analysis for CalPERS systems and processes. 10. Attend meetings as required; *Senior Technical Specialist: * 1. Must have 5+ years of experience defining, developing and implementing security processes; 2. Must have 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise security services; 3. Must have 5+ years of experience in network security architecture; 4. Must have 5+ years of experience with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27002, NIST, etc.); 5. Must have 5+ years of experience running security tools and related software; 6. Must have 5+ years of technical security experience in applying information security and privacy best practices; *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 1. Ability to perform white hat hacking. 2. Broad industry knowledge, including law enforcement and financial industry information security experience (verifiable), of enterprise and open-source security products and their implementation. 3. Hands on experience with implementation and design of SIEM solutions 4. Experience with Enterprise Identity management architectures and security best practices. 5.
