The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a
Business Analyst contractor for an approximately 12 month engagement for
the Department's PMO Organization supporting the DMV Modernization Program,
Data Management & Governance Project.
This program is modernizing the DMV applications and business processes.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for development of business
requirements, test plans, test scripts and assisting with maintenance of
project management tracking. This individual will be knowledgeable in all
aspects of business analysis, testing and has a basic understanding of
project management and system development life cycle as well as porting
efforts from legacy applications to new solutions. The individual must
have proven experience with enterprise level development projects. The
Business Analyst will work closely with NCDOT’s Program Manager in
assisting with solution documentation and project management tools to meet
State IT requirements.
Role responsibilities:
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for work flow and business
processes
• Document the projects and project deliverables as assigned
• Work with the PMO Manager, Project Manager, Business Customer and
project team
• Develop and document test plans, scenarios and scripts
• Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility with other programs
and projects
• Consult with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug solution to
meet Change Management needs
• Provide quality control for project deliverables
This resource will;
• Perform data profiling on elements, entities, and entity relationships
• Create data quality reports
• Perform data reconciliation
• Identify, verify or populate code table values
• Identify, verify or populate reference table values
• Identify elements for metadata standardization
• Establish element, entity, and entity relationship matching and
reconciliation rules
• Establish rules for merging records
• Establish rule for manually cleansing records
• Participate in the discovery, documentation and presentation of rules,
issues, metadata, and business/technical decisions
Experience in business process analysis, requirements development, testing
and documentation
