Business Systems Analyst to be responsible for analyzing, documenting and validating the complex business needs of systems owners and project stakeholders. This includes working independently gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This position is responsible for supporting quality assurance efforts on projects and defining new business processes using existing tools and applications. Provide technical and business expertise in assigned areas to help define business needs and priorities to assist Business Technology Partner in project planning and prioritization. This role will work in multiple areas of the Supply Chain and they will become knowledgeable about our ERP system and its capabilities. *The position requires three critical abilities:* • Business Analysis skills including complex requirements analysis, functional design, data analysis and software implementation skills. • Strong technical skills, including the ability to understand database structures in order to create data mappings for system interfaces, ad hoc reports and the ability to research impacts of business processes on the underlying data. • Strong analytical and communication skills required, including the ability to effectively interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical requirements. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*: *Overall* • Collaborate with IT Business Partners, architecture and application development teams and key user subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between requirements, usability and performance needs. Assure that IT is strategically aligned with the business. • Become a subject matter expert in areas that this position supports. • Monitor the status of projects, assure that business objectives are met; set priorities and ensure standards are maintained for successful implementation and support of systems. • Articulate functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various level Technical Analysis • Analyze business requirements and translate them to data, reporting or application requirements • Create and modify data mapping templates using SQL, DB2 or other appropriate tools. • Create ad hoc queries as needed by the business to help resolve issues.
