Role: Project Manager Location: New York, NY Duration: Above 5 Months Interview: Face to Face Need Only GC/USC SCOPE OF SERVICES: DYCD is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to: (1) Work closely with DYCD Staff to document and analyze individual program requirements to develop a set of common core requirements based on individual programmatic needs. Additionally, the PM will produce an in-depth requirements document to assist in amending a set of architecture and design documents; and (2) Work with the SI Vendor to manage and oversee the implementation of DYCD's enterprise systems. The PM will act as the focal point of contact for DYCD regarding project status, meetings, reporting requirements, scope changes/extensions, risk management, and financial, administrative, and technical issues and concerns. The PM will perform various duties including but not limited to: - Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; - Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress; - Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs; - Measure project performance; - Report and escalate issues/concerns/risks to management as needed; and - Perform risk management to minimize project risks. - Lead implementation projects, serving as the primary customer contact - Manage implementation issues and escalating when appropriate - Collaborate with DYCD and SI teams to ensure and maintain complete understanding of contract deliverables and manage project scope to ensure project is delivered on time and within budget - Maintain understanding of how the application is used and configured, including the ability to provide an application overview MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analytics role including: strategic planning, business model analysis, process definition and design, system analysis, management and monitoring, and/or requirement definition • Excellent technical writing which will result in relevant, useful, and accurate information geared to assist Technical Architects to enable the creation of a robust architecture/design document • Proven analytical/technical aptitude evidenced by 5 or more years of successful experience in a quantitative role • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Teamwork-focused/collaborative work style • Demonstrated ability to work successfully on large projects • Problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past positions • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization • Lead implementation projects, serving as the primary customer contact DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Experience eliciting requirements and delivering key documents with CRMs focused on Human Services • Strong technical background including: software configuration, application troubleshooting, basic database principles, system analysis and design. • Ability to work with customers to understand their needs and develop custom solutions • Application and industry knowledge • Superior leadership, influence, communication, interpersonal, and telephone skills • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Skilled at anticipating and solving problems • PMP Certification preferred, but not required.
