*Title :  Communications Tech Writer*

*Job Responsibilities:*

Establishes communication strategies for keeping IT personnel and 3rd
parties informed of new policies and policy changes.

Ensures that approved methodologies, tools, processes and procedures are
understood and internalized by TW EIS internal staff and service
providers.

Maintains the TW EIS IT website and knowledge repository of policies and
procedures.



*Policy Update Release Planning:  *

Provides leadership and management on the development of policy update
communication plans.

Gathers requirements, constraints and inputs from IT, service providers and
process owners.

Communicates policy update communications to IT and service providers and
provides leadership in accommodating the needs of multiple audiences.  30%



*Process Improvement:  *

Assists in Process Improvement efforts, developing and executing
appropriate process improvement plans.

Manage the on-going evaluation and analysis of methodologies, processes and
procedures to continue to leverage from each implementation – build on
lessons learned and ensure they are replicated.

Look for areas to leverage IT and industry expertise and best
practices/tools.  20%



*General Management*

Completes Performance Plans & Reviews for direct reports

Escalates and resolves client and management issues     10%



TYPES OF DECISIONS MADE BY THIS POSITION: (Describe ability to exercise
discretion):

Determine best-in-class approaches for project reporting and communications
applicable to the TW EIS IT environment

Control authority to ensure that all existing methodologies and deliverable
standards are being followed

Challenge results and update and define additional deliverables needed to
satisfy the objectives of the Project Standards, Tools, Training and
Reporting function



*Job Qualification Standards *

5-7 years’ experience driving a large work group and decisions in a
matrix-reporting environment

Must have 2-4 years demonstrated success in leadership positions

Must have experience working in a PMO structure and in developing and
implementing software development lifecycle structures (SDLC), project
management methodologies, processes and procedures and governance controls

Past experience developing plans and milestones

Must have prior experience in setting standards and methods for measurement
(scorecards)



*Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification*

BA/BS degree required; technology related area of study preferred

PMP Certification

ITIL Certification preferred



*Knowledge/Skills *

Demonstrated expertise in Project Reporting, Metrics and Communications

Advanced capabilities creating and editing professional and compelling
documents and pages using reporting and communications tools, notably
Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe products

Demonstrated expertise working across organizational lines to produce
creative solutions

Demonstrated ability to lead by example and to be a player-coach

Passion for expressing complex matters in simple, concise and effective ways

Ability to deal with a numerous variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists

Ability to explain scientific and technical ideals in simple language

Ability to quickly assess and solve problems, analyzing situations,
collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions

Ability to remain open-minded and change opinions and focus on the basis of
new information, and as demands change, managing transitions effectively
from task to task; adapting to varying stakeholder needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the
ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

Ability to foster teamwork, sharing credit with co-workers; displaying
enthusiasm and promoting a collaborative group working environment

Knowledge of and attention to business cycles, to effectively plan rollouts
and implementations

Experience with Business Process change and information systems methodology

Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal
schedule when necessary
