*IT Project Manager with Claims or Policy Bay Area CA*

Services:    OVERVIEW:
Consultant will provide integrated project-level management, coordination
and roadmap planning across project-related IT and Business work streams
related to the assigned modules of clients Claims System or Policy
Administration System projects. Determination of project assignment will be
made prior to SOW execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consultant will be responsible for  driving client’s business technology
strategy through effective planning, problem solving, conflict resolution
and alignment with all internal stakeholders –Enterprise PMO, IT and the
Business (Claims or Policy):
Conduct weekly reporting of project status to clients EPMO/Portfolio
Manager for Executive level briefing, including identification of risks and
mitigation plans
Mentor co-project managers on project structure, governance and overall
planning/management
Provide the highest quality services in the shortest time frame, including
effective and efficient transfer knowledge to employees
Undertake specific tasks which may include:
Display the assigned module program plans and overall schedule (in MS
Project or similar)
Coordinate and manage the assigned module project plans in alignment with
Client's existing phased approach of deployment that supports launch
timeframes, including identifying the critical path to allow those
deployment dates
Provide strategic dependency planning to the EPMO/Portfolio Manager
(inter-departmental, system-to-system, etc.)
Perform risk identification and create timely mitigation plans
Facilitate strategic meetings to coordinate high level business
requirements, issue identification & conflict resolution (with meeting
minutes & action items)
Ensure accountability & alignment of project teams on deliverables (goals &
milestones) and related decision-making
Communicate to EPMO/Portfolio Manager & Business determine resource level
adequacy & strategies to address shortfalls
Evaluate and address adequacy of project-related documentation (intra- and
interdepartmental) & strategies to address shortfalls
Provide guidance on QA & drive completion of UAT coordination, timeframes &
optimization
Enhance transparency and open communication across all involved departments
Incorporate 2014 audit mitigation plan to improve EPMO, Business & IT
collaboration
May be assigned by Client to lead teams, work independently, work on teams
led by Client, Contractor resources or, teams lead by other consulting
firms.

diplomatic, but firm and goal-oriented)
Achieve lasting and effective Knowledge Transfer of program management
skills to team members, as identified by
Perform team assessments and evaluations

Location of Services:
Consultant’s primary work location will be Pleasanton with occasional
travel to other locations as needed.
Reports:
Consultant will report directly to Enterprise PMO/Portfolio Manager  with
indirect reporting relationships with Business owner
Program-level status reporting is expected for all stakeholders including
the Executive project steering committee
