*Software Engineer (WPF developer) *

*Philadelphia, PA*

*Duration: 6+ months *

*Rate: Please share your BEST least COMPETETIVE price*

*Scope of position:* This will be a *WPF* developer to help us with our new
product. The product is a new version of Baseline, written from scratch in *
WPF*/xaml. Baseline is a stock picking/market research tool for fund
managers and investors. It is our fist *WPF* project, so we don’t have the
expertise we normally would for a dev project. Im looking for someone who
can act as a *WPF* resource to my team, consulting on technical questions
and aiding in design decisions. I also expect them to write code for the
team, and expect them to be productive in that role. Most of our work will
be on the ui side, the data side will be later in a separate phase of the
project.

*Main Responsibilities:*

Writing code as directed. Assisting other team members with technical
questions about *WPF*/xaml.

Contributing to conversations/decisions about architecture as it relates to
leveraging *WPF* for our needs.

*Required Skills:*

Overall, 7-8 years experience required.

Experience coding apps in *WPF*. Minimum *WPF* is tough because *WPF* is
new, but at least 1-2 years experience.

Background would be someone with dev/architecture experience.

Someone with experience doing rich ui apps. As *WPF* is a must, .Net exp
such as C# goes along.

Is this a pure *WPF* role or will they need to be proficient with the middle
tier and/or WCF?

*WPF* is all they need. Seniority is senior dev or an architect. Someone
who has the ability to make decisions for a team, not just follow orders (I
wont need them to make many decisions like that on their own, but that is
the level I want)

*Desired Skill Set: *

Experience with xaml is a bonus. Writing their own xaml extensions is not a
requirement. Would be an indicator of their proficiency so would be nice in
that sense.
If they have xaml experience, examples would be nice. Also experience
designing or implementing UI is nice to have

Thanks & Best Regards,

*Sonia*
