*Long Term open ended contract* *H1b Ok* *Local candidates only ( Irving TX) * *Face to face interview upon own expenses* We require a Java/J2EE developer working in a team environment to develop a International Time and Attendance System. Candidate must have a broad knowledge and experience with the core technologies used to render web sites and web applications. Must have working knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Object Oriented Design methodologies and life cycles. Displays the ability to work and communicate equally well with lead developer, architects, project managers, business and QA analysts. Demonstrates hands-on expertise in J2EE technologies, specifically, *Java, Websphere, Struts, JMS, JDBC, Oracle and Unix* . Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Utilizes object oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test software systems. Must have highly analytical skills and should be able to investigate and resolve problems on software products and systems. Identifies areas for code improvement and refactors the code. Candiadate will also participate in requirements review sessions. Education/Experience: o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required o 5-7 years related experience required Responsibility level: o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor *Skills* o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) o Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required) o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) o Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software (Required) o Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models (Required) o Knowledge of niche computer software, such as Oracle, CSharp.net, Lawson, etc (Required) *Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: * o Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance o Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints o Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met o Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design o Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications o Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration o Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance o Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces Analysis, Design and Deployment (Infrastructure Projects) *3+ Yrs.
