Role: Business analyst Location: Albany, NY Duration: about 21 Months Max rate $50/hr on c2c Need only GC/USC local candidates Analysis and design of reporting, website, and user interface; transforms legislative, user and NYSDOH requirements into system and data requirements and analysis artifacts including use cases; prepares technical and user documentation including business use cases. Examples of Business Analyst activities and responsibilities that will be required of the Contractor in this project include, but not limited to: • Manages small to medium-scale business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution • Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field • Lead requirements gathering efforts and conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, focus groups and personal interviews to capture business and technical requirements, including the transformation of user, NYSDOH, and legislative requirements into system requirements; • Document the complex areas of the project using integrated analysis and modeling techniques; • Work with NYSDOH staff to develop, review, and gain approval of business, data, technical, and quality requirements; • Act as a liaison with project stakeholders as needed; • Develop use cases; • Develop and/or modify functional and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation; • Assist in the design of web pages and user interfaces; • Assist the Project Manager in managing product scope through requirement change requests and traceability • Assist in the determination of risks, issues, and other planning items as required by the project. Mandatory skill: • 84 Months of experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) following the Rational Unified Process (RUP) • 84 months facilitating workshops and focus group sessions. • 84 months experience creating design documents, use cases, user interfaces, and other documentation to facilitate requirements gathering. • 84 months experience in Business Process Modeling (BPM) using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). • 60 months experience managing multiple parallel development efforts. • 36 months experience using Requirements Management tools.
