Role: NET Support/Developer Location: Allentown, PA Duration: long-term Interview: phone/face to face The interview mode is Face 2 Face Job description: This position will provide development and application support for a portfolio of internally developed and commercially available applications supporting a Manufacturing organization. Support includes responding and resolving user questions, analysis and resolution of production problems, application configuration, maintenance of application interfaces between applications, and minor application enhancements. The position will be part of an integrated on-shore / off-shore team of 8 professionals providing Managed Maintenance support for a broad series of client legacy applications. This position will be the primary technically oriented role for the team, focused on development. The role will work closely with team resources located off-shore providing similar and after-hour support. Responsibilities Provide user (call) support, break-fix (incident) resolution, application configuration and minor enhancements for a portfolio of internally developed dot NET applications and commercially available software, including an in-house developed application integrated with our clients MRP system that produces barcodes for manufactured products, and commercially available applications like Hyperion, and IBM Connections. Perform and support software installations of end user clients Develop and customize SQL queries support end-user reporting needs and configuration of quality measurement gauges Support expansion of the use of Manufacturing applications across the clients enterprise Develop and support interfaces to and from other client applications, such as the clients ERP systems Support business and user social collaboration systems, such as IBM Connections and SharePoint Creates and maintain system and functional requirements, including business rules, for in-scope enhancements Actively participate in the transition of application and domain knowledge from existing resources to the CAI, completing various Application Knowledge Capture (AKC) documents and tools provided by CAI Maintain application documentation and information contained in the AKC repositories developed during transition. Develop quality and testing plans supporting application enhancements, configuration changes and implementation of new releases. Identify gaps and opportunities for efficiency gain in existing functionality and applications Analyze data contained in various applications and data sources including legacy products, SQL Server databases, and flat files Research system issues, perform cross-application and root cause analysis Develop and maintain good working relationships with all client stakeholders Participate in the analysis, design and documentation of solutions, enhancements and projects to which the team will be assigned Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years’ prior experience supporting and developing .NET applications Familiarity with Problem and Incident Management SQL Skills (MS-SQL preferred) JavaScript or other equivalent scripting experience Strong focus on customer service and support with a desire to deliver a high quality service Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task effectively.
